Terry Carney AO, FAAL is an Emeritus Professor at Sydney Law School and Visiting Research Professor at UTS. He took out a PhD at Monash University after completing an honours degree in law and a graduate diploma of criminology at Melbourne University. He has written extensively on social security, oversaw the writing of the 1991 Social Security Act, chaired the National Advisory Council on Social Welfare and serves for nearly 40 years as a member of the Social Services and Child Support Division of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and its predecessor the Social Security Appeals Tribunal.Visit Terry's homepage at here.
